ZCP270 is the rack-mounted Z-type main control processor of Foxboro I/A Series DCS, dedicated to central cabinet control scenarios requiring high system availability, widely deployed in thermal power, combined cycle, petrochemical refining and offshore oil & gas DCS control rooms.
It relies on matched FCM100E/FCM100Et fieldbus gateway modules to realize data interaction with all on-site FBM200/216/203 and other I/O modules, completing unified collection of temperature, pressure, flow, valve feedback and HART instrument digital signals, and executing user-defined continuous adjustment, interlock logic and batch sequential control algorithms.
The core advantage lies in patented dual-module fault-tolerant redundant architecture: two ZCP270 modules are installed in adjacent slots and connected via P0926DF interlock cable, both run synchronously with identical control logic; once the primary controller fails, the standby unit takes over all control loops within milliseconds with zero signal loss, eliminating single-point failure risk of core control nodes.
Supports online non-stop firmware image update, no need to stop production processes during maintenance upgrades. Connects to the MESH control network through 100Mbps single-mode fiber, maximum communication distance 2km, realizing high-speed data interaction with operator stations, historians and upper-level management systems.
Built-in complete hardware self-diagnosis circuit, front panel independent LED array displays RUN, COMM, FAULT, REDUNDANCY status, quickly locating controller, network and redundancy link faults without testing tools. Conforms to ISA S71.04 G3 harsh environment standard, resistant to dust, humidity and chemical volatile gas; single-width Z-slot compact structure saves cabinet space, supports hot-swap replacement.
